Visionhall Information Systems

Company History

Originally Visionhall worked as sub-contractors to EDS (now HP) on their Justice account. Visionhall were part of the EDS ‘Incubator’ program where new technologies and solution design ideas were tested in real-world solutions. As a small agile company Visionhall were able to produce robust scalable prototype solutions quickly and efficiently.

In 2005, EDS were let down by a key supplier working on a very high profile project for the UK Court Service. Visionhall were asked to help rescue the project. We proposed a new case management solution drawing on our experience with hotel reservations systems, customer relationship management systems and document management systems. Our team worked around the clock, seven days a week for six months. As a result, the Case Management System was born and the Commercial Court IT Project (CCiT) was delivered to the Royal Courts of Justice on time.

EDS lost the UK Ministry of Justice contract in 2007 to Logica and ATOS Origin. However Visionhall have remained on the EDS (HP) preferred supplier list ever since.

In 2008, Visionhall took two important strategic decisions:

  1. To market solutions in our own name in other markets.
  2. To re-engineer our integrated court management solution and produce a suite of reusable modules that could be used independently. The rationale being that was unlikely to ever replace expensive government legacy systems completely (for political reasons) but we might be able to add on some missing functionality.

The strategy has been a success. Following two successful implementations in Dubai, Visionhall and the brand are enjoying a growing reputation.
