There are always a lot of exciting things going on but we don't always get around to posting details here. Why not just give us a call and we'd be delighted to bring you up to date.
The Rolls Building - October 2011
The Commercial Court in London opened on today, October 3rd, in its new home. The Rolls Building is an 11-storey, state-of-the-art, 31 court facility with three "super-courts" configured to accommodate big, multiparty disputes.
Visionhall are proud of the fact that interCOMM was the first case management system to be used in the Rolls Building. interCOMM will continue to be used to schedule the growing number international high-value trials being heard in London.
We are delighted that the court staff were able to reconfigure interCOMM adding the new building and the new court rooms without intervention from Visionhall. This confirms the flexibility of the system design and its ease of use which are essential factors in keeping support costs to a minimum.
Industry Recognition
Visionhall Information Systems have only started promoting the company and the interCOMM product suite in the past two years. To date our efforts have been focused on the Middle East where our work has gained some attention.
CNME Awards 2010 - Visionhall were honoured to have had our work in Dubai short listed in the Government IT Project of the year category. The award covered all government projects across the whole Middle East region. The competition was fierce with submissions coming from many of the major IT companies such as Microsoft, IBM, HP, SAP etc. Although we did not win on this occasion we were satisfied with the result. There were no other court management deployments short-listed so we are content that we were top of our particular field.
The project that was nominated was our interCOMM eFiling and webCMS deployment for the Dubai World Tribunal. The Tribunal was established in December 2009 to handle various matters pertaining to the settlement of the financial position of Dubai World and its subsidiaries. A court management system capable of handling up to 10,000 claims per year from across the globe was required. Visionhall consultants worked throughout Christmas to have a system ready within 30 days. The system allowed users to submit claims online and have a case created without human intervention. Users could then manage their cases via the new court case management portal called webCMS. Due to the high profile nature of Dubai World there was significant interest from press organisations around the world. To keep press enquiries to a minimum, an RSS feed was established providing up to the minute information on case activity.
The system assists the Tribunal in its objectives by enabling fast reliable access to justice and transparency. The rapid deployment was possible because Visionhall consultants have unparalleled experience at developing court solutions and interCOMM provides a solid platform to build upon.
